Define Maintenance Agreement Line with Fixed Labor Cost

This document explains how you define an agreement line with a service for which the customer is charged a fixed price for labor, but pays for the actual material consumption.

Use this instruction when you wish to add a service job to a maintenance agreement.

Outcome

An agreement line with information about a service job covered by the agreement is defined.

The table with information about maintenance agreement lines, ACUAGL, is updated.

Use an agreement line with a fixed labor price when you do not know how much and what material is used in a service, but you do know how much time the service usually takes to perform. This allows you to set a fixed price on labor.

Before you start

A maintenance agreement header must be defined in 'Maint Agrmnt. Open' (COS410).

Follow these steps

  1. Start 'Maint Agrmnt. Open' (COS410/B).
  2. On the B panel, select the agreement for which you want to define an agreement line with a service and select option 11='Agreement lines' to display 'Maint Agrmnt. Open Lines' (COS411).
  3. Select panel sequence E F.
  4. On the B panel, specify service price method 5 and the start date for the agreement. Also specify the product, product structure and the service for which the agreement should be valid. If a blank agreement line is to be defined, ignore these fields. Select 'New record' to display the E panel.
  5. On the E panel, optionally, specify the maximum material price per item, transaction and order line. Also specify the warranty limits if applicable.
  6. Specify the maximum material cost allowed to charge the customer (optional). Press Enter to display the F panel.
  7. Limit zero pricing. Specify the limit in the material currency. Any material transactions below the limit have the sales price set to zero. You can connect a charge to the agreement line. The charge replaces the sales price for the transactions below the limit with one charge.
  8. On the F panel, specify if the material to be used in the service should be limited to material owned by the customer and if material expendables should be limited to customer owned material.
  9. If applicable, specify project elements. The project elements are added to order lines by default when an order is based on the agreement line.
  10. Press Enter to finish.
