Enter Budget Template
This procedure is used to define the templates used by budget officers in decentralized budgeting.
Each template contains a name and the budget transaction lines needed. Each line contains either an accounting ID or resource ID and period accounting curve. Example:
- Budget template: Sales
- Line 1: Domestic sales (with an accounting ID)
- Line 2: Foreign sales (with an accounting ID).
Before you start
- Resources must be entered in ‘Budget Resource. Open’ (BUS015).
- Period accounting curves must be defined in ‘Period Accounting Curve. Open’ (CRS450). They are used to automatically allocate values to the selected periods.
- You must know each budget officer’s budget needs; that is, what type of budget transactions the officer works with.
Follow these steps
