Print Analysis of Payer Credit Limits

This instruction explains how to create and print an analysis of your payers' credit status compared to the credit limits defined for each payer.

Outcome

A report is printed, based on user-defined selection criteria. The actual values are retrieved from the accounts receivable file (FSLEDG).

The report lists each payer with information on the total unpaid invoice amount, credit limit 1 (for invoices past due) or credit limit 2 (for outstanding invoices). The relation between these values is expressed as an index. Index 1.0 indicates that the maximum credit limit is used; any value above 1.0 indicates that the payer has exceeded the credit limit.

Note that the report does not include credit limit 3 (for outstanding invoices and customer orders).

Use the credit limit index to review the payer's credit status and as a basis for deciding what action to take. These are the :

  • Retrieving further information by monitoring the payer credit and general payment behavior in 'Credit Monitoring. Process' (RMS420)
  • Contacting the payer
  • Prioritizing open invoices in the payment reminder and debt collection routines in 'Payment Reminder. Open' (ARS650) and 'Collection. Open Assignment' (ARS170) respectively
  • Redefining credit limits in 'Customer. Open' (CRS610/J)
  • Blocking the payer from further order processing in (CRS610/J).
