2. Automatic Calculation of Depreciation Plan

When the depreciation building blocks are available, a depreciation plan is created automatically for each depreciation type when a new asset is created or activated. The depreciation plan is also updated when asset data such as dates, lifetime or residual value are changed.

You can view the depreciation plan by selecting option 11 = 'Depreciation plan' for a depreciation type in (FAS002). This program is in turn accessed by selecting option 11 = 'Depreciation types' for a fixed asset in (FAS001).

2.1 Recalculating Depreciation Plans

There are two ways to recalculate existing depreciation plans in M3:

  • Recalculate an individual depreciation plan by pressing function keys F18 and F14 in (FAS010).
  • Recalculate all depreciation plans for a specific depreciation type or range of depreciation types in 'FA Depreciation Plan. Create Automatic' (FAS800). Existing depreciation plans are deleted before the new plans are automatically created.
