Upload disposal value and finance reason code

You can configure the finance reason code using these alternatives:

• 0-'Not Used': Any reason code uploaded through FAS003MI/UpdYTDTrans is not saved in the fixed asset value per period table (FFAHIS).
• 1-'Optional': The system saves either a blank reason code or a reason code that is defined in the program 'Finance Reason Code. Open' (CMS103).
• 2-'Mandatory': Used for all other cases. The finance reason field must always be populated with a reason code from (CMS103).

This table shows the handling of the reason code for different alternatives:

When all disposal value types for the fixed asset’s depreciation types are uploaded, these updates are performed:

1. The status of the fixed asset in 'Fixed Asset. Open' (FAS001) is updated to 9='Sold or disposed fixed asset'.
2. The sales date in (FAS001) is set to the latest disposal date.
3. The status of each depreciation type in 'Fixed Asset. Connect Depreciation Types' (FAS002) is updated to 9='Sold or disposed fixed asset'.
4. Each depreciation type in (FAS002) is updated with the appropriate finance reason code, if applicable.
5. The disposal date is set to the last date of the disposal period for each depreciation type in (FAS002).

If disposal value types are not uploaded for all depreciation types connected to the fixed asset, these updates are performed:

1. The fixed asset status in (FAS001) is set to 1='Normal fixed asset'.
2. The status of the disposed depreciation type in (FAS002) is updated to 9='Sold or disposed fixed asset'.
3. The disposed depreciation type in (FAS002) is updated with the appropriate finance reason code, if applicable.
4. The disposal date is set to the last date of the disposal period for the disposed depreciation type in (FAS002).
