Create Allocation Selection Table

This procedure is used to define a table for selecting allocations.

Allocation selection is used to allocate costs and revenues in relation to the actual results in other accounting dimensions. For example, freight costs recorded at a single cost center can be allocated to products according to the sales per product.

Follow these steps

  1. Start 'A/C Allocation Select Table. Open'(GLS064/B).

  2. Enter an ID. Click New.

  3. On the E panel, enter a description/name and a plus sign for each one of the accounting dimensions to be included in the calculation of the selection keys. If the allocation is based on resource drivers, enter a resource driver. (Only accounting dimension 2 can then be selected.) Press Enter.

  4. In 'A/C Allocation Select Table. Open Lines' (GLS065/B), create each line by entering a line number. Click New.

  5. In (GLS065/E), enter description and and the base and target values for the seven dimensions in the accounting string. (If a resource driver was entered in step 3, only accounting dimension 2 is open.) Press Enter.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each line to be included in the selection table.
