Create Location for Fixed Assets
This document explains how you define locations for a company's fixed assets. Using locations is not required, but enables you to keep track of the fixed assets.
Outcome
Locations for fixed assets are defined. There are three types of locations: Location 1, Location 2 and Location 3.
Connect up to three locations to a fixed asset type in 'Fixed Asset Type. Open' (FAS075) (optional). The locations are then automatically proposed when entering a fixed asset with that fixed asset type in 'Fixed Asset. Open' (FAS001).
You can also connect locations directly to a fixed asset in (FAS001).
The location can then be used as a selection criterion when:
- Performing a physical inventory in 'Fixed Asset. Perform Physical Inventory' (FAS150)
- Printing a catalog of fixed assets in 'Fixed Asset. Print Catalog' (FAS500)
- Printing an insurance report in 'Fixed Asset. Print Insurance Report' (FAS560).
The parameter file (CSYTAB) is updated.
