Create a PIN Code for a User
This document explains how to create a PIN code for a user. A PIN code is used when, for example, to confirm a job start through a PIN code, to verify that you are allowed to, for example, give a higher discount in price guidance, and to sign off a changed value in a field in the e-signature solution.
- Define your general PIN code settings in 'PIN Code Authentication Policy. Open' (MNS157). In this program, define the complexity of the PIN codes to be used. This setup is valid for all users. Although, this program should not be available to all users, so you must set up the function security.
- In 'User Settings. Open' (MNS155), define your PIN code. The first time you open this program, the PIN code is set to blank. Press enter in the PIN code dialog, so you can define your PIN code on the E-panel. For the subsequent use of the program, you must specify a correct PIN code.
- If you forget your PIN code or has been locked out because of many failed attempts, contact a system administrator who can clear your PIN code through option 16='Clear PIN code' in 'User. Open' (MNS150).
Outcome
A PIN code is now connected to your user.
