Define report layouts

Report Layout is defined in 'Report Layout. Open' (CMS025). The definition consists of the XML structure and settings that can add additional metadata in the XML file. This metadata is used by external output management applications when converting the XML file to a document or report.

Standard report layouts are delivered for every printer file variant using naming standard M3_STD_0y-0x (y=variant, x=sequence no). Report layouts starting with M3 are reserved for standard reports, and cannot be created or deleted.

Watermark

A watermark is added to individual printer files in 'Report Layout. Open' (CMS025) or to all printer files in 'System Settings. Open' (MNS090).

The text to be used as a watermark is included in the XML file in different ways:

• Alternative 1 - No watermark text is included.
• Alternative 2 - M3 Business Engine message ID used as watermark text. If no message file is specified, MVXCON is automatically selected.
• Alternative 3 - A watermark text is specified.

The watermark may be disabled, that is, not included in XML file based on a virtual field from the section type REPORT. If the virtual field is true (value 1), the field is disabled.
