Plant maintenance
This concept describes how you schedule released maintenance work in the Planning application.
With the integration of M3 BE Maintenance with the Planning application, you can coordinate and schedule together the production orders and maintenance work. You can create a complete schedule for all work center resources. The schedule of the entire material flow through production is automatically created. The maintenance work orders that require machine stops into the production windows are identified and are added to the schedule.
The plan, including the scheduled maintenance orders, is transferred back to M3 BE.
Uses
Other than incorporating the maintenance work in the planned schedule, these are the other
uses of Plant maintenance:
- See the load on the maintenance resources (W/C type 9) and plan when the maintenance resources, such as personnel or machines, are available.
- Run powerful what-if scenarios to find the schedule that best meets your business goals and objectives. For example, you can simulate how opening up a window on a weekend for maintenance will have on your production schedule. By simulating different strategies, you can minimize the disruption on production caused by maintenance activity, and improve your line efficiency.
