M3 BE Plant Maintenance and MRO

Scheduling of Maintenance orders takes place when you are using M3 Plant Maintenance or MRO.

Use M3 Plant Maintenance to control and optimize when maintenance is carried out on the machines in the production environment. In this case, the maintenance work orders are scheduled on the work center resources together with the manufacturing orders.

Use M3 MRO if maintenance is the primary business and if you do not have a traditional production. This means that maintenance orders do not have to be scheduled in between the production orders. In this case, the orders in the Planning application only contains maintenance orders.
