Utilization Report

The Utilization Report shows capacity and load information. The planner can perform these actions:
  1. Select the work centers to display.
  2. Select the work center fields and loading information to display.
  3. Filter on work center loading, for example, identify bottlenecks.
  4. Use utilization report as scoreboard record.
On the Primary behavior tab, you can select these elements:
  1. Work center selection.
  2. View control, for example, report organized by work center or by time bucket.
  3. Report display selection.
  4. Work center filter based on minimum utilization and other criteria.

On the Secondary behavior tab, you can select coloring and logic for load calculation

On the Buckets behavior tab, you can select the report start, horizon, and bucket definitions.

On the Columns behavior tab, you can select the operation or order fields to display. You can define the number of fields to display and select the fields and their display sequence

On the Sorting behavior tab, you can select how resource are sorted in the utilization report.

View control

The Utilization can be displayed as these two views:
View Description
Work center This view shows the Utilization report based on Work centers. For each of the selected Work centers the load, capacity, and other information are displayed per bucket within the report horizon from the selected start date.
Bucket This view shows the Utilization report based on buckets. For each of the buckets within the report horizon from the selected start date the load, capacity, and other information are displayed per Work center.
For each view you can select the report type, that is Planned or Latest, and the graphics.
Note: Lines that show load before report start are shown in blue.

Scoreboard records

Scoreboard records display the KPI that are defined by the planner. These examples show how KPIs can be used:

  1. How many work centers have more than 80% loading.
  2. How many work centers have less than 20% loading.
  3. How many work centers are overloaded. Negative accumulated remaining capacity is based on latest the start and end.

Loading information

Utilization report calculates the load information that can be displayed as columns. These fields are used for load information:

  • Accumulated remaining capacity

Accumulated remaining capacity is the aggregation of remaining capacity (capacity minus load) bucket for bucket. If accumulated remaining capacity is negative for load based on latest start/end, then preproducing orders to level load is not enough to avoid delays.

  • Planned load buffer

Planned load buffer shows load from orders that are ready to start at the beginning of the period, for example, how much load is planned to be in queue in front of the resources.
