Manual change plan

SWB creates the plan as described in Planning Principles. Sometimes, the planner wants to overrule and decide the sequence manually. Manually changing the sequence of operations requires that you must have or get the sequence status 15 or 17, where SWB keeps locked sequenced operations. The operations in sequence status 10 are planned freely, and manual sequence decisions are not kept after the next simulation.

To manually change the sequence, there are three main methods:

  1. Schedule Report
  2. Scheduling Board (Click and drop)
  3. Scheduling Board (Manual scheduling).

Schedule Report

The Schedule Report must have Resource sequence as the first sorting option for operations to ensure that the operations are sorted according to the sequence in which they are planned on the resource. If you manually change the value of the resource sequence, the report is updated accordingly.

If the Schedule Report has been setup to sort operations based on Resource sequence. You can manually change the sequence by updating the value of Resource sequence, which automatically changes the sorting order in the Schedule Report. To calculate the consequences, you must perform a simulation that keeps the operation sequence sorted based on Resource sequence, Planned start.

  1. Select the operations that you want to sort. The selected operations are marked.
Note: You can select multiple operations.
  2. Click Set after.

The values of Resource sequence and the sorting order in the Schedule Report are updated automatically.

  3. Click Simulate keep resource sequence to keep the operation sequence with sorting based on Resource sequence, Planned start. The Pld start and Planned end columns are now updated.

Scheduling Board (Click and drop)

You can also do manual sequencing in Scheduling Board.

If the report for Scheduling Board - 6 days is used, follow these steps:

  1. Click Move operation.
  2. Select and click one operation.
  3. Move the operation on your preferred position then click to drop it.
  4. Click Simulate consequences.

Scheduling Board (Manual scheduling)

If you want to move several orders on the Scheduling Board, you can use Manual Operation Scheduling.

  1. Click Add operations.
  2. Select all the operations that you want to remove from the plan. The operations are moved in the Manual Operation Scheduling list box.
  3. Select the operations and click Schedule.
  4. Place the selected operations at the start of the plan, then do the same process for the other operations.
  5. Several operations are removed from the schedule. Select which sequence to re-plan the operations.

After manually changing the sequence, we recommend that you run Simulate consequences.
