API database transfer

The M3 BE APIs, also known as MI-programs, manages the data transfer between M3 BE and M3 SWB. The M3 BE APIs provide the advantage of allowing complicated logic when retrieving data, while still retaining a high-performance level, as compared to ODBC/SQL for example.

The M3 BE APIs rely on the same part of the System Foundation as the M3 BE Web Applications. The Internet Subsystem, MVXBINET for example, must be created and the Floating Protocol Wrapper must be installed before you start using the M3 BE APIs at a customer site.
