Installing Infor M3 Report Manager Setup

  1. Right-click the Infor M3 Report Manager Setup file and select Run as administrator.
  2. Specify the program installation path. We recommend that you use the default setting, but you can also specify a different path, for example, D:\Infor\accure\OutputFoundation.
  3. Read and approve the license terms and conditions.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select all components of Report Manager and click Next.
  6. To configure the SQL Database, specify this information:
    SQL Server
    Specify the database server address.
    Database
    Specify the database name, for example, M3ReportManager [PROD/TEST/DEV].
    Username
    Specify the database user name.
    Password
    Specify the database user password.
    Note: You must specify values in these fields even if you are connecting to an already existing M3 Report Manager database for 10.1.4.
  7. Click Next.
  8. To configure IIS, specify this information:
    Server name
    Specify the server name where you are installing the Report Manager Setup file.
    Use SSL communication (internally)
    Select this check box:
    • If you want the Smart Office client or the H5 Client to communicate with MRM WCF webservice using HTTPS.
    • If you want to communicate through SSL from H5 Client and/or Smart Office client to the MRM WCF service.
    Note:  If you select this check box, then the MRM WCF is set up using SSL. Therefore, you will need to configure a valid certificate in IIS configuration for the MRM WCF web service.
    Server
    Specify the SMTP server that will relay mails to Report Manager.
    Installation type
    Select any of these options:
    • Select ALL for normal installation of all setup files, including the creation of database.
    • Select TABLES to install only the tables and data. This option does not create the database.
    • Select CONNECTONLY to connect to an existing database. This option has no dataload.
  9. Click Next.
  10. To configure M3 Connection, specify this information:
    M3 BE Server
    Specify the M3 BE server name.
    MVX API or REST API
    Select REST API.

    The MvxAPI port, user, and password fields are not enabled when REST API is selected.

    RESTAPI Port
    Specify the REST API port.
  11. Click Install.
  12. To configure Infor Ming.le, specify this information:
    Note: Do not configure the Infor Ming.le authentication if you should run Report Manager within Smart Office by using MvxAPI connection to Business Engine. However, if you should run M3 REST API, regardless whether you are using H5 or Smart Office, you need the REST API Authentication and the cert path.

    Use the values that you specified in Server access worksheet for the Infor Ming.le connection.

    Ming.le
    Select the Activate Ming.le connection check box.
    Logical ID
    Specify the M3 logical ID.
    Claim
    Specify the claim type.
    ACS
    Specify the Assertion Consumer Service URL.
    Entity ID
    Specify urn:<Report Manager server address FQDN>.
    Thumbprint
    Specify the certificate thumbprint.
    OAuth or Certificate
    Select Certificate.
    Path
    Specify the path and file name of the Grid client certificate file.
    Password
    Specify the certificate password.
  13. Click Install.
  14. If the cmd.exe window shows that AAP_MultiportServer_10 is installed, then press any key to continue.
  15. Click Finish.
  16. Click Yes to restart the server.
