Database Transfer

The Database Transfer component allows interaction between the system and M3 BE.

Import

These main data types are imported from M3 BE:
  • Macro orders
  • Capacity data
  • Material data and item information

Export plan

Decisions are exported by M3 PWB to CMS050. M3PWB then triggers an update job, which updates BE based on decisions in CMS050.

Moving a macro order in PWB creates one base action OPRSTATUS. These are the parameters when exporting actions to CMS050:

  • Add Reschedule Order before Reschedule Operation: Ensures orders and operations after critical operation are updated accordingly.
  • Use planned start before pull-up from end operation: This option is recommended in all standard scenarios.
  • Add Reschedule Operation after Change Operation Status: This option is recommended if there is more than one critical operation in each macro order. If there is only one critical operation in each macro order, it is recommended to de-select this option to improve performance when implementing actions in BE.
