Using break simulation

  1. Right-click the operation that you want to analyze and select Break simulation.
  2. Select the break simulation that you want to run.
    Break after planned start / end after forward planning is often the option to select when analyzing an operation being planned too early on bottleneck operations.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Run Automatic simulation.
  5. On the primary tab, select Allow break.
    The simulation will run until the marked operation is planned. This allows the user or consultant to identify the capacity situation on the bottleneck and which free capacity gap the operation has been planned in.
