Parameter configuration

The portlets are defined with default values for each parameter. The default values are used as start values when a new portlet configuration is created. There are three options for how to handle the portlet parameters when defining a portlet configuration:

  • Default value

Keep the default value defined for the portlet.

  • Custom value

Create a custom value for the portlet configuration.

  • Inherited from xxx

Inherit a custom parameter value from another portlet configuration. Any future changes to the inherited parameter are also inherited.

Parameters are the base of a portlet configuration. There are action parameters for adding action buttons such as Display, Edit and Create. Several criteria parameters are used to define what criteria the portlet is to listen to. There are parameters that are used to define the content to display and the visual presentation of that content.

The value of a parameter can be a Boolean, a number, an action, a comma separated list of aliases, or a comma separated list of fields.

To edit a parameter, open the edit window by selecting the row in the parameter table.
