Scenario 3: Perform a full M3 Graphical Lot Tracker re-load when Infor Data Lake integration is enabled

M3 Graphical Lot Tracker has been deployed and data transfers occur frequently. Trace data is synchronized to Infor Data Lake. A full M3 Graphical Lot Tracker database re-load needs to be done. See Initial load process.

To reload the GLT database and re-enable synchronization of trace data to Infor Data Lake, complete these steps:

  1. In M3 Business Engine, select Menu > Administration Tools > Graphical Lot Tracker Administration.
    The application management pages are displayed.
    Note: Only users with the IFS role ‘M3 GLT Administrator’ can access the application management pages.
  2. Select Data Lake Import Settings to turn off the synchronization to Data Lake.
    1. From the Dialog, de-select the tables that were in use :
      • Trace table
      • Trace Step table
      • Trace Relation table
    2. Click Save to disable synchronization to Data Lake for selected tables. To discard changes, click Cancel.
  3. Go to Data Fabric and purge the M3 Graphical Lot Tracker trace objects:
    1. GLT_Trace
    2. GLT_TTraceRelation
    3. GLT_TTraceStep
    Note: You must also clean the Compass cache. See Infor Data Fabric documentation > Deleting data in Data Lake.
  4. In M3 Business Engine, select Menu > Administration Tools > Graphical Lot Tracker Administration.
    The application management pages are displayed.
  5. Perform the database reload. See Initial load process.
  6. Select Data Lake Import Settings to specify these configuration options required for the data synchronization.
    1. From the Dialog, select one or more tables:
      • Trace table
      • Trace Step table
      • Trace Relation table
    2. Click Save to enable synchronization to Data Lake for selected tables. To discard changes, click Cancel.
    3. Click Start Import in the Confirmation Dialog to start synchronization for the selected table(s). To discard changes, click Cancel.
  7. After the Initial load process is completed, synchronization to Infor Data Lake begins. This process can be monitored in System Log panel. The process name is 'pDataLake'.
  8. Go to Data Fabric and validate the M3 Graphical Lot Tracker trace objects:
    1. GLT_Trace
    2. GLT_TTraceRelation
    3. GLT_TTraceStep
