Starting the initial database load

  1. In M3 Business Engine, select Menu > Administration Tools > Graphical Lot Tracker Administration, then select GLT Settings and Import.
  2. To begin the data transfer, click Start Import. To discard changes, click Cancel.

    The full database load may take several hours to complete, but as soon as the initial steps are executed, the system can be accessed. The progress of the data transfer can be monitored from within the application. See Setup of the system log.

    If you have not assigned the GLTADMIN role to any user in M3 Business Engine, then, after the initial data load, the Import MasterData option is displayed on the management pages. The Admin Users table remains empty.

  3. If you have not assigned the GLTADMIN role to any user before the initial database load, then complete these steps:
    1. In M3 Business Engine, assign the GLTADMIN role to a user.
    2. From the M3 Business Engine taskbar, select Menu > Administration Tools > Graphical Lot Tracker Administration.
    3. On the application management pages, select Import MasterData.
    4. Click Start Import.
    5. After the import of master data is completed, select Menu > Administration Tools > Graphical Lot Tracker Administration in M3 Business Engine, and confirm the setup of the GLTADMIN users in the Admin Users table.
    The Import MasterData operation is faster than a full reinitialization. When this operation is completed, users who have the GLTADMIN role can access the System Administration menu in M3 Graphical Lot Tracker.
