Setting up a customized link opening a trace details list

When creating a customized link (API link opening a trace details list) on a standard tab, the process starts in the Panel Settings panel and continues in the API Interface Configuration panel.

  1. Select System Administration > Panel Settings.
  2. Click the Plus icon in the Edit column to expand the list of feature objects that allow customized links.
  3. Edit the required record with the Edit icon.
  4. Click the Add new configuration.
  5. Select 'API link' in the Type for a customized link opening an M3 Program.
  6. Click Next to continue or click Cancel to close the dialog box.
    Note:  When you click Next, you go to the API Interface Configuration details panel.
    Note:  Step field contains the feature object type of the Panel Settings tab and it is not editable.
  7. Specify the M3 API in the API program field.
  8. Specify the M3 Transaction in the Transaction field.
  9. Specify the link name in the Name field.
  10. Use as input field contains the name of the Panel Settings tab, and it is not editable.
  11. On the API Input Configuration tab, specify both Field column and GLT Field column.
  12. On the API Output Configuration tab, select the required trace details in the Selected column.
  13. Click the Save icon to create the API Interface Configuration.
  14. You can reorder the columns if necessary.
    When the process is complete, the customized link is available for the user.
