About M3 Graphical Lot Tracker

Infor M3 Graphical Lot Tracker is a configurable Internet-enabled repository with capability to receive, filter, and interpret Infor M3 Business Engine supply chain data. For example, this data can be processed:

  • Subcontracted production
  • Direct shipments
  • Quality management data from the M3 Business Engine module Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Sublots
  • Customer returns
  • Contextual data from Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.le context applications
  • Context data from Infor Business Context
  • Inter-company Sales

Through the population of a database with this information, M3 Graphical Lot Tracker provides the ability to perform these activities:

  • Trace the supply chain, through all steps, occurrences, and activities, from the semifinished or finished product to the original raw materials or batches
  • Track the raw material or batch along the supply chain to the semifinished or finished product supplied to the customer
  • Hold defective items and lots in stock through reclassification
  • Detect affected customers in the recall process
  • Perform lot audit

See Industry Process Catalog for M3 Food and Beverage (Cloud Edition).

M3 Graphical Lot Tracker is delivered with a pre-configured solution for interfacing with M3 Business Engine. See Interfacing with M3 Business Engine.

The M3 Graphical Lot Tracker user interface follows the standard theme of Infor OS (Infor OS Portal). To match the style or the look and feel of other Infor CloudSuite products, you can customize the user interface versions, modes, and colors.

Using the M3 Graphical Lot Tracker System Administration function, the M3 Graphical Lot Tracker administrator can add or remove data fields or rearrange them and limit user access. Furthermore, the administrator can create customized links that open search pages in M3 Graphical Lot Tracker or programs in M3.

The M3 Graphical Lot Tracker configuration is built on the assumption that a full lot trace is available in M3 Business Engine. For semi-finished or end products that are to be included in the trace line, the lot control method 2 or higher, defined in ‘Item. Open’ (MMS001/E), must be used. For purchased products, the lot control method 1 can also be used.
