Settings in the Application Settings panel

Users with sufficient rights to the Application settings

The table in this section shows how these settings are used in the application and the settings that users can revise or copy: panel can copy many application settings to different user groups. These users can also revise the default values of many application settings.

  • The ‘Editing allowed’ column indicates whether or not users can edit the application setting.

    If the value is Yes, then users with sufficient access rights to the Application settings panel can edit the setting.

  • The ‘Copy allowed’ column indicates whether or not users can copy the application setting.

    If the value is Yes, then users can copy the setting to other valid user groups.

The values selected in this setting determine which message types are written to the system log.

The valid value for each severity level is On (1) or Off (0). One message type corresponds to each severity level:

  • First severity level: informational
  • Second severity level: warning
  • Third severity level: error
  • Fourth severity level: trace

To enable or disable a log message type, click Edit and select or clear the check box for this log message type. You cannot disable the Error message type.

.M3SYS:AuthorizationProgram SES400 This setting determines which M3 Business Engine security option is used.

If the value is SES400, then authorization to M3 Graphical Lot Tracker is based on roles associated to the user. The roles become M3 Graphical Lot Tracker user groups in the Application Settings panel.

If the value is SES003, then authorization to M3 Graphical Lot Tracker is based on a functional level. Users are assigned to groups associated to M3 Business Engine functions. These groups become the M3 Graphical Lot Tracker user groups in the Application Settings panel when this option is used.
