Testing object authority in M3 Graphical Lot Tracker

Before you can test object authority in M3 Graphical Lot Tracker, you must set up security in M3 Business Engine and complete the initial load process. See Initial load process.
  1. Open M3 Graphical Lot Tracker with the same user ID.
  2. Select System Administration > Update Trace Line.
  3. Select System Administration > Application Settings.
  4. Set the .M3Sys:ObjAutorization setting to Enabled.
  5. Refresh M3 Graphical Lot Tracker.
  6. Run a search that includes the restricted object, then select a step ID that contains the restricted object.
    The trace object description details must be available for the user ID.
  7. Close M3 Graphical Lot Tracker and sign in as another user who does not have access to the object in M3 Business Engine.
  8. Run a search that includes the restricted object, then select a step ID that contains the restricted object.
    Note: The restricted object might not be visible in some lists.
    The trace object description details must show the error message Not Authorized to this user.
