Using the Search Panel

Depending on the trace line theme, different options are available for working with the search results:

M3Workspace theme: Search results can be sorted by clicking the column heading.

Grid settings-button (top right corner of table heading): For filtering columns, adding or excluding columns, grouping lines or exporting to Microsoft Excel.

M3White and Blue themes provide the option to sort results by clicking the column heading, export to Microsoft Excel, and group lines by clicking the corresponding buttons at the top right corner of the table heading.

While using the M3TE search panels, you may want to consider the following:

  • All search arguments can by entered in any combination or left blank.

Note: You need to enter at least one search criteria.
  • Do not enter unnecessary information for a search. If you search for an order number, this is a unique information and additional information might slow down the search.

  • To minimize the response time, all non-numeric arguments are searched as entered. The SQL wildcard (%) is supported for all arguments but the transaction date. Note that a wildcard in the beginning of an argument will slow down the search considerably on large data volumes.

  • Enter a from or to date to omit search results for anything before the to date or anything after the from date. Leave both blank to omit searching by date.

  • Time is optional and can be included to narrow the search. When time is not included the search is from beginning of From Date and to the end of To Date. Note that the date and time is used to search for transactions leading into a trace event, the trace can not be limited by date and time.

  • The search might return a number of hits for the same trace object because a number of quality data might connect to the same trace object. For example, two (2) transaction dates for the same lot number.

  • An asterisk in front of a search result indicates a rejected transaction. Click on the line to show the rejected transaction detail list.

  • Click on a line in the search result to show the trace detail in current window.
