Trace Line Features

The configuration for each trace line must contain the valid Trace Steps and the valid connections between the different steps. Examples of valid connections are:

• Purchased object can be used in the manufacturing process (FromStep = Purchase and ToStep = Manufacturing)

• Purchased object can be sold (FromStep = Purchase and ToStep = Customer)

• Manufactured object can be sold (FromStep = Manufacturing and ToStep = Customer)

In addition to the user defined steps, the pre-defined 'Create' step with a connection from 'Create' to at least one of the other steps must exist to define a valid starting point of a trace. The connection 'Create' to 'Purchase' is an example of a valid start of a trace.
