Configuration Setup for Interfacing to M3 BE

  • To complete this task, you should have a general knowledge in SQL Server Management Studio.

  • The name for an M3 BE configuration should be M3TEnnnPPP where nnn is the M3 company number excluding leading zeros and PPP is the M3 BE environment profile code.

    Caution: 
    The standard naming convention for configuration must be used to avoid malfunctions in the pre-configured solution. Using the shipped configuration M3TE will not work.

  • Trace database for M3 Graphical Lot Tracker

    The database for your trace line is created when you save your trace line in the configuration tool as described in Creating data tables and program folders. For further information, see Trace Line Database.
