The application server

The applications that you create using the Infor e-Commerce Development Studio must be run on an application server, which is a web server that is able to execute Java applications. Infor e-Commerce Development Studio requires that you use IBM WebSphere as your application server. You will design your application using the Infor e-Commerce Development Studio running on your local workstation; you will then test and run the application by deploying from the Infor e-Commerce Development Studio to the application server. During the deployment operation, all of your Infor e-Commerce Development Studio settings will be processed to generate the JSP pages and Java objects required to make your application work.
