Common connector settings
Like all other connectors, the SQL Server Connector is listed on the Data Sources tab of the Infor e-Commerce Development Studio.
From here, you can do the following:
-
Add, remove and edit data sources.
-
Set connection details for each data source.
-
Check data source properties (only the data source name, which cannot be changed once you have created the data source).
-
Retrieve the data model of any data source.
All of these functions are the same for all types of connectors. Commands for each of these functions are available through contextual menus, which pop up when you right-click on the various items on the left side of the Data Sources tab. For complete details about these functions, see Working with data sources.
In addition to the standard connector settings and functions, the SQL Server Connector provides the following configuration settings:
-
Field mappings
-
Data table relations
-
Join criteria
-
Stored procedure mappings
All of these settings enable you to map business object attributes to the various tables, fields and stored procedures of an SQL Server database. Complex SQL statements can be constructed using these settings, thereby enabling you to establish table mappings, joins and relations that combine SQL data from several tables into any business object’s sets and subsets. This chapter explains how to work with these and other settings that are unique to the SQL Server Connector.
