Setting up the tag repository

To facilitate management of multiple implementation and application customization, you can use tags as markers or milestone flags. You need to set up your tag repository for this purpose. You can classify your tags as bug fixes, customizations, vendor imports, and other classification that you think your project may require.

To set up the tag repository:

  1. From the Navigator, right click and select Infor e-Commerce Development Studio > Subversion > Configure Project Version and Tag Names.
  2. Set the following:

    Project Name

    Name of the project

  3. To add a tag type to this project, click Add.
  4. Set the following:

    Type

Tag type. The text that you enter here will appear in the Mark as field when you tag a project. You can use your tag classification as tag type, for example, Vendor Import, Bug Fix, or Customization 1. This is combined with the tag name when you tag a project. For example, if the tag type is VI and you tag a project as Custom1, the result will be VI_Custom1.

The type is also used for filtering the tag list display.

    Label

Enter a short label or description for this tag type.

For example, if you set the label as VI and tag name as Vendor Import, the tag will be VI_Vendor Import.

  5. Click OK.
