Unit warnings

Infor e-Commerce displays a warning message whenever a customer tries to add an item to the order using a quantity that violates the minimum and/or modular quantity rules for that item. As with other application text, the text displayed for these warnings are among the text items available in the Application Setup:Texts area of the Business Center. You will use this area to translate the unit warnings just as with other types of text items.

To translate the unit warnings:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.
  2. Click the Application Setup > Texts link in the navigator.
  3. Enter "ModularNotice" in the Text Name field and then click Search.

A list of all page texts that define the warning displayed when a customer violates a modular-unit rule is displayed. Because the check is done on several pages, text items from several pages appear in the list. There are three parts to the notice, which are combined together with dynamic information set between them to create a sentence such as:

"You must order in multiples of ModularSize items ItemName. The quantity you ordered has been set to NewQuantity."

The text in italics is replaced with the relevant data. The actual text items are arranged as follows:

    ModularNotice1 + ModularSize + ModularNotice2 + ItemName + ModularNotice3 + NewQuantity

  4. For each of the text items found, enter the appropriate translations and click Save.
  5. Click Application Setup > Texts once again in the navigator. This time, search for text items named "MinimumNotice".

As with the modular notice, text items with this name appear on several pages and there are three parts to the notice. These items are combined to create a warning that tells the user that he or she has ordered too few of an item (for example, because they always come six to a pack). Items are combined to form a sentence such as:

"The minimum allowed value is MinimumSize."

Where, the text in italic is replaced with the relevant data. The actual text items are arranged as follows:

    MinimumNum + MinimumSize

  6. For each of the text items found, enter the appropriate translations.
  7. Click Save.
