Applying segments to discounts
Each discount that you configure must be assigned to one or more user segments. The discount will apply only to the members of the specified segment(s).
To edit discounts, use the Shop > Discounts area of the Business Center. You can search for a discount to edit, or create a new one. Included in the discount configuration settings are controls for adding user segments to which the discount applies.
Users can see the list of discounts that apply to them by going to the My Profile > My Discounts area of the Customer Center. All applicable discounts will always be applied to all orders.
Applying segments to campaigns
User segments affect both the selection of campaigns displayed to each user and the set of discounts associated with each campaign.
To edit campaigns, use the Shop > Campaigns area of the Business Center. You can search for a campaign to edit, or create a new one. Included in the campaign configuration settings are controls for adding user segments that will be able to see the campaign. You can also establish one or more discounts for the campaign, and assign a user segment to each of them.
On some Infor e-Commerce installations, customers will see a random campaign on the home page of the Customer Center. The display will include all discounts that apply to the customer’s user segment. Customers can see the full list of discounts that apply to them by going to the Campaigns area of the Customer Center. All applicable discounts will always be applied to all orders.
Applying segments to shipping fees
Each shipping method that you configure must be assigned to one or more user segments. The shipping method will only be available to the members of the specified segment(s). For more information, see Configuring shipping methods.
Applying segments to delivery fees
Each delivery fee that you configure must be assigned to one or more user segments. The delivery fee will only apply to the members of the specified segment(s). For more information, see Configuring delivery fees.
Applying segments to assortments
Customers will only be able to see those items that belong to assortments associated with the customer’s user segment. Each assortment that you configure must be assigned to one or more segments. Users who belongs to several segments can see all assortments that are visible to their segments.
To edit assortments, use the Items:Assortments area of the Business Center. You can search for an assortment to edit, or create a new one. Included in the assortment configuration settings are controls for adding user segments that will be able to see the assortment.
To be able to view the changes made to the assortment in the Customer Center, ensure that the Category.UpdateExplosions, Item.GenerateVisibility, and Lucene.Index jobs are executed. This would reflect your changes in the Customer Center.
