Overview on the Customer Center

The Infor e-Commerce Customer Center provides a powerful range of inbuilt functions and processes designed to support business customers. This functionality automates the direct sales process, supports customized selling techniques and helps to build one-to-one customer relationships.

Although both B2C and B2B profiles are based on the same presentation, the rendering of interface elements in the Customer Center differs for B2B and B2C profiles. The Customer Center layout for B2B and B2C profiles is controlled by application properties "Pages B2B" and "Pages B2C" respectively. In addition to the standard features available for a shopper in the B2B configuration, Infor e-Commerce offers some additional features in the B2C configuration to enhance the shopping experience for online buyers. For information about the B2C features, see Infor e-Commerce Developer’s Guide.

The Infor e-Commerce Customer Center has the following major elements:

  • Footer Menu – Provides the complete set of available sections/pages enabled to the user for navigation in the Customer Center.

  • Shopping cart – Located at the top-right side of the page, the shopping cart displays the total number of the currently added items. These items display more details when clicked.

  • Currency Selector – Found at the footer of the page below the flags, this list shows all the available currencies. Selecting EUR, for example, sets the display currency to the euro, meaning all prices are shown in euro value.

  • Quick links - Provide access to several pages without having to navigate the menus.

  • Quick search - Found at the top of the page, the quick search field enables you to search for items if you do not want to navigate the category menu.

  • Shop Categories menu – Provides a rollup navigation of items.

  • Widgets – Made available in the Customer Center, so users can have a quick overview on relevant details

  • Language Selector – Instead of clicking flags, you can set the display language by selecting from a list. This element is usually found below the live chat section.

  • Favorite items – Displays a page showing your favorite items.
