Updating personal information

Registered users can update their personal information after logging on to Customer Center.

  1. Log on to the Customer Center as a registered user.

  2. Click My Profile > Profile.

  3. On the User Profile page, change information as appropriate.

    • To change the e-mail address, click Change E-mail.

    • To request for information, click Info and send a mail.

    • To contact the sales, marketing, support personnel or order handling, click the appropriate link in the Contact area.

    • To change the approval limit, approver address or shipping address for a company, use the Available Companies area.

    • To change the roles, use the Roles area.

    • To view the company information, click the company name.

  4. Click Save.

Changing password

To change the password:

  1. Log on to the Customer Center as a registered user.

  2. Click My Profile > Change Password.

    To change your password, first type your old password. Enter your new password and confirm by retyping your new password.

Requesting new password

If registered users forget their password, they can request for a new password by providing their e-mail ID they first used when registering with the site. Infor e-Commerce sends a new password to the user’s mail account.

To request a new password:

  1. On the Home page of the Customer Center, click Forgotten your password? in the login area.

  2. On the Forgotten your password page, enter a valid e-mail ID.

  3. Click Send New Password.

    Infor e-Commerce sends a new password to your e-mail ID.

    Ensure that you give the correct e-mail ID. Specifying a wrong e-mail ID will overwrite other user’s password.

When a user requests a new password, a new password is being generated by the custom stage PasswordGeneration. The stage is placed in the method User.SendNewPassword.

Configuring password request attempts

For added security, you can set a limit to the maximum attempts of a user when requesting for a new password within a calendar date. To configure, perform the following steps in the Business Center:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.

  2. Click the Application Setup:Application Details link in the navigator.

  3. Search for the parameter MaxPasswordResetPerDay under the User Account group and set appropriate value.

  4. Click Save.

Note: The generated password follows the password policy set in the system.
