Enabling requests

You must use the Business Center to enable each request for your application and establish the set of segments that can use it.

To enable requests:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a user with the "Admin Gateway" role.
  2. Click the Gateway > Requests requests area.
  3. Click Create New.
  4. On the Request Details page, make the following settings:
    Field Description
    Business Object Name This setting can only be changed when you first create the request. It shows the name of the business object through which you execute the request.
    Method This list shows all of the commands that are gateway-enabled for the current business object. This list is established at design time.
    Enabled Use this list to decide if the current request is permitted. If you set this to No, then your settings are stored, but the request will not be allowed until you set this to Yes.
  5. Click Create.

    The page reloads with settings so far, which also includes additional fields for adding user segments. Use the controls in the Add New User Segments area to establish the group of user segments that can execute this command.

  6. To add a user segment, select it from the User Segment list and click Save.

    Continue working with the controls until you have fully configured your request, clicking Save each time you need to submit a new setting.

    Note: Use the search form to find the request you wish to edit. To edit a request, click the Business Object Name. The form for editing a request is identical to the one for creating a new request, except that you are not able to change the business object name.
