Customer groups

Customers can be linked together in a parent-child relationship. For example, Customer A can be the parent of customers B, C and D. Grouping customers in a parent-child relationship allows users to be associated with more than one customer. Infor e-Commerce allows only two levels of hierarchy in this model - parent and child customers. Also, a customer can have only one parent. Some customers have no child or parent customers and they just exist by themselves.

To group a customer in a parent-child relationship or to define a child company:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.
  2. In the B2B setup, click the Users:Customers B2B link in the navigator.

In the B2C setup, click the Users:Customers B2C link in the navigator.

  3. In the Customers page, select the customer that you want to edit.
  4. In the Parent Company, click Find.

The Customer Finder page lists all customers that do not have a parent. Search and select the customer that you want to designate as a parent of the current customer.

  5. Click Save to submit your new settings.
  6. Continue steps 3-5 until you have finished grouping customers.

To clear an established parent-child relationship, click Clear and then select Save to update your settings.
