Password rules
You can set parameters of the password rule validation in the Business Center. The following are the predefined policies in Infor e-Commerce:

| Minimum Password Length | Must be an integer between 1 and 99. Controls the minimum number of characters that a password must have. Must not be more than the maximum password length. | 8 | 
| Maximum Password Length | Must be an integer between 1 and 99. Controls the maximum number of characters that a password can contain. | 24 | 
| Number of required lower case characters [a-z] | Must be an integer. Controls how many lower case characters a password must have as a minimum. | 1 | 
| Number of required upper case characters [A-Z] | Must be an integer. Controls how many upper case characters a password must have as a minimum. | 1 | 
| Number of required numeric characters [0-9] | Must be an integer. Controls how many digits (0-9) a password must contain as a minimum. | 1 | 
| Should have at least one of these characters | Controls the list of special characters a password must have. | !@#$%^&*()_+|~- =\`{}[]:";'<>?,./) | 
Configuring password rules
Perform the following steps to configure the password rule depending on your business needs:
You can also test if a password is valid by using the Password Policy Tester found on the same page. You will be prompted with a message if the password you entered is valid or not. Note that password validation is based on the last saved configuration.
- Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.
 - Click the Application Setup > Password Policy link in the navigator.
 - Set appropriate values in the Password Policy Manager area of the Business Center.
 - Click Save.
