What are codes?

The Infor e-Commerce database includes a table called CodeText, which establishes values and translations for miscellaneous options available to various other features of the application. This includes yes/no options, item sales units, order status values, campaign types, and so forth. The Application Setup > Codes area of the Business Center provides a runtime interface for viewing and maintaining the content of this table.

Each record in the Code table holds a single value for which you can provide a translation in each supported language (if appropriate). Furthermore, each record has a type, which identifies how the entry is meant to be used. Entries are effectively grouped by having the same code type-these often create values for a list for which language translations are required.

Note: In the M3 setup, code types are replicated from M3. For information about the replicated code types, see "Effects of Interfacing" in Infor e-Commerce M3 Connector’s Guide.
