Standard Infor e-Commerce settings

Infor e-Commerce is preconfigured with several user roles and feature elements.

User roles delivered with Infor e-Commerce

Catalog Export Customer User Enables the user to export Infor e-Commerce orders into a SRM system.
Equipment Information Administrator Customer User

Enables the user to view equipment information. To view several equipment information tabs, the following feature elements must be enabled for this user role:

  • Equipment Location - to view equipment location details

  • Equipment Location Admin - to add a new location for an equipment

  • Equipment Meter Reading - to view the meter reading tab

  • Equipment Meter Reading Admin - to update meter readings

  • Equipment Service History - to view the service history tab

Gateway administrator Administrator

A user who:

  • May enable request documents

  • May assign user segments that are able to execute each type of request

Gateway user Administrator A user who may access the gateway.
Guest Guest

A user who:

  • Is unknown

  • May browse through categories and items

  • May subscribe for Infor e-Commerce newsletter

  • May initiate a chat session with merchant users

Guest shopper Guest

A user who:

  • Is unknown

  • May browse through categories and items in the B2B Customer Center

  • May add items to the shopping cart

A Business Center user who may:

  • Access the gateway functionality

Merchant call center Administrator

A Business Center user who may:

  • View call center information, for example, user's data and e-mails

  • View submitted orders of customers assigned

  • View a list of products that is low on stock

  • Manage customer details

  • Manage users associated with customers

Merchant chat Administrator A Business Center user who may accept incoming chat requests from Customer Center users.
Merchant developer Administrator

Uses the Business Center to administer data that defines the functionality of the main site, that is:

  • Codes

  • Languages

  • Site pages and site texts

  • Payment systems and methods

  • User roles

Merchant marketing Administrator

Uses the Business Center to administrate data that defines the shop, that is:

  • Campaigns and news

  • Contact persons

  • Countries

  • Currencies

  • Delivery fees

  • Discounts

  • Manufacturers and Brands

  • Items, categories and assortments

  • Markets

  • Newsletters

  • Price groups and item prices

  • Shipping methods

Merchant order handling Administrator

Uses the Business Center to handle the incoming orders:

  • May view submitted orders

  • May administer incoming orders

Order collaboration Customer User Enables the user to both send and receive collaborated orders.
Order export Customer User Enables the user to manually download orders as XML files.
Order line details Customer User Enables the user to add extra details to individual order lines.
Product catalog administrator Administrator
  • Has access to documents accessible to single users and to the category tree/assortment in the Customer Center

  • Manages company information, company policy, terms of use, purchase terms and conditions, buyer’s guide and help.

Quick ordering Customer User Enables the user to access the quick-entry order form.
Reseller Customer User

A user who:

  • Is registered as a user at a known company

  • May edit the user profile including setting a default user shipping address

  • May edit the user favorites

  • May browse through product categories and items

Reseller administrator B2C Customer User

A user who in addition to being a reseller in the B2C Customer Center setup:

  • May view the company’s delivery notes

Reseller chat Customer User A user who may respond to chat requests from B2C users.
Reseller B2C Customer User

A user of the B2C Customer Center who:

  • Is registered as a user at a known company

ShopperB2C Consumer User

This role is applied to customers who self-register in the Customer Center in B2C setup.

  • May submit orders

  • May view previous orders

  • May view top selling items

Store Manager Customer User Responsible for managing and creating store details, which are necessary to enable the Store Finder feature.
Submit request for quotation Customer User Enables the user to submit orders as RFQs to the merchant.
To be approved Customer User Forces all orders from the user to be subject to approval by another employee at that user’s company. However, orders below the user’s minimum approval limit (MAL) can still be submitted without requiring approval.

Admin Discount

Enables the user to administrate discounts in the Business Center.

Disables segmentation for discounts, that is, the user sees all discounts, regardless of whether or not he or she is part of the user segment that should normally see them.

Admin Export Monitor Enables the user to work with the order-export log in the Business Center.
Admin Gateway

Enables the user to access the gateway Requests page in the Business Center and thereby allows to manage requests.

Disables segmentation for the Gateway, that is, the user can execute all enabled requests, regardless of whether or not he or she is part of the user segment that should normally execute them.

Admin Item

Enables the user to administrate items, prices, categories and assortments in the Business Center.

Disables segmentation for items, that is, the user sees all items, regardless of whether or not he or she is part of the user segment that should normally see them.

Admin Language Enables the user to administrate languages in the Business Center.
Admin Legal Agreement Enables the user to administrate legal agreements in the Business Center.
Admin LES Lucene Index Enables user to administrate LES Lucene indexes in the Business Center.
Admin Logistics Enables the user to see a list of items that are low on stock in the Business Center.
Admin Order Handling Enables the user to administrate submitted orders in the Business Center.
Admin Order View Enables the user to view submitted orders in the Business Center.
Admin Page Enables the user to administrate site pages and site texts in the Business Center.
Admin Password Policy Gives access to the settings for password policy.
Admin Payment Method

Enables the user to administrate payment methods in the Business Center.

Disables segmentation for payment methods, that is, the user sees all payment methods, regardless of whether or not he or she is part of the user segment that should normally see them.

Admin Previous Orders Gives access to previous order details in the Business Center.
Admin Price Group Enables the user to administrate price groups in the Business Center.
Admin Product Catalog Gives access to catalog pages.
Admin Quotes Enables the user (usually from the merchant company) to process RFQs, possibly to return an offer to the buyer who sent the RFQ.
Admin Ratings Enables the user to review user ratings in the Business Center.
Admin Registered Equipment Gives access to the administration page in the Business Center where the user can approve registration records submitted from the Equipment Registration page in Customer Center.
Admin Role Enables the user to administrate user roles in the Business Center.
Admin Scheduled Jobs Enables the user to schedule and run jobs in the Business Center.
Admin Shipping

Enables the user to administrate shipping methods in the Business Center.

Disables segmentation for shipping methods, that is, the user sees all shipping methods, regardless of whether or not he or she is part of the user segment that should normally see them.

Admin SSO Generate Key Enables user to administer SSO keys in the Business Center.
Admin Store Finder Enables administrator access to the Store Finder feature.
Admin Tax This feature element is not used.
Admin User Enables the user to administrate users, shoppers, companies, and user segments in the Business Center.
Admin User Lockout Gives access to maximum failed attempts and lockout duration settings.
Admin Warehouse Enables the user to administrate warehouses in Business Center.
Administration Enables the user to see and use a link from the Customer Center to the Business Center site. This link appears in a subsection of the About area of the Customer Center.
All Customer Acces Enables a sales representative to submit orders on behalf of all customers.
Alternative Item List Displays a list of alternative parts for certain sub-assemblies in the equipment list.
Back Orders Gives access to the user's back orders.
Back Orders Admin Gives access to the company's back orders. This feature element works in combination with the Back Orders feature element.
Budget Admin Enables the user to view the Budget Listing and Budget Entry Pages.
Buy One The site shows a Buy One button instead of the usual quantity input field and submit-button. Clicking the button can submit the form with a quantity of one (or the minimum quantity defined for the item, if this is greater than one).
Campaigns Gives access to campaigns and news.
Campaign Promotion Preview Provides access to campaigns and promotions
Category List Gives access to categories in gallery view. Note that this is a required feature element in B2C setup since the default home page includes the gallery view. It is optional to disable this feature in the B2B scenario depending on business needs.
Change Order Enables the user to modify existing Customer Orders that have been submitted previously. The level of modification depends upon the rules defined in the M3 Business Engine.
Change Password Enables the user to change the user password.
Chat Enables the user to chat with a Sales Representative.
Company Profile Enables the user to view the customer’s profile.
Company Profile Edit Enables the user to edit the customers's profile. This feature element works in combination with the Company Profile feature element.
Company Users Enables the user to list and edit the company's user data.
Customer Item Number Gives access to customer item number.
Customer Item Number Admin Gives access to admin interface of customer item number.
Delivery Notes Gives access to the user's delivery notes.
Delivery Notes Admin Gives access to the company's delivery notes. This feature element works in combination with the Delivery Notes feature element.
Discounts Gives access to the company's discounts.
Display Currency Selector Displays the currency selector drop-down list in the Customer Center.
Download XML Order Enables the user to download orders as XML documents.
Draft Orders Gives access to the user's draft orders.
Display Tax Displays the total tax (Delivery Tax+Shipping Tax+Total Line Tax) is as VAT Total throughout the order flow on the Order Form, Shipping Details, Order Confirmation and Order Acknowledge pages.
Equipment Drawings Gives access to the parts drawings page from the equipment catalog
Equipment List Allows access to Equipment List page.
Equipment Location Enables the user to view the Equipment Location tab.
Equipment Location Admin Enables the user to add new location details.
Equipment Meter Reading Enables the user to view the Equipment Meter Reading tab.
Equipment Meter Reading Admin Enables the user to add update meter readings.
Equipment Service History Enables the user to view the Service History tab.
External Documents Displays documents accessible by customer users.
Favorite Categories Edit Enables the user to create and edit favorite categories.
Favorite Categories View Enables the user to view favorite categories - if none is defined the guest's favorites is shown.
Favorite Items Edit Enables the user to create and edit favorite items.
Favorite Items View Enables the user to view favorite items - if none is defined the guest's favorites is shown.
Financial Info Enables the user to access the financial information page.
Gateway User Marks a user as a gateway user. This feature element does not control access to any actual JSP code, but is normally included in segmentation criteria for all Gateway requests. Additional segment criteria can be established to further limit access to the various requests. All requests included in the initial setup data are configured for segments that require this feature element, though you can create new requests that do not require it (not recommended). Therefore, users must have this element as a prerequisite for accessing the Gateway.
Guest Documents Displays the documents accessible by guest users.
Home Gives access to the home page.
In Stock Displays the quantity in stock for that particular item in the Customer Center.
Information Management Displays the content management pages including company information, company policy, terms of use, purchase terms and conditions, buyer’s guide and help.
Internal Documents Displays the documents accessible by single users.
Invoices Gives access to the company's invoices.
Is User From SalesTool Roles having this feature element is assigned to users who are replicated into the Infor e-Commerce from the M3 Sales Tool interface.
Item Details Gives access to item details.
Item List Gives access to the item list.
Item Search Enables the user to search for items using the quick search option in the left pane.
Legal Agreements Enables the user to accept legal agreement.
LES Search Allows a Smart Office user that is mapped to an Infor e-Commerce user to search Infor e-Commerce data.
List Prices Users with this feature element is shown a list price for items in addition to the price they actually pay.
Mail Call Center Enables the user to mail directly to the company's contact persons at the merchant.
Manufacturer Details Gives access to manufacturer details.
Newsletter Subscription Enables the user to subscribe for Infor e-Commerce newsletter.
OCI Capable Enables users to download order information from Infor e-Commerce to other applications.
Order Approval Required Prevents the user from submitting an order for a value higher than the minimal approver limit (MAL). Such orders instead require the approval of the user’s order approver.
Order Approver Allows the user to approve orders submitted by other users at the approver’s company.
Order Comments Enables the user to enter comments in orders.
Order File Upload Enables order file upload feature
Order Form Enables the user to put items into the shopping cart.
Order Line Available

Displays availability status of order lines, fetched from M3. This feature should only be enabled only for M3 interfaced Infor e-Commerce setup.

Note:  This feature can slow performance because several M3 API calls are required to fetch the required information.
Order Line Comments Enables the user to add a comment to one or more individual order lines.
Order Line Deletion Adds a "delete" icon to each line item on the order form page, allowing users to remove items from the order form. If this icon is not shown, customers can still remove an item from the order form by setting its quantity to zero.
Order Line Ref No Enables the user to add a reference number to one or more individual order lines.
Order Line Req Del Date Enables the user to request a special delivery date for one or more individual order lines.
Order Line Shipping Address Enables the user to request an alternative shipping address for one or more individual order lines.
Parts Drawings Gives access to Drawings Details page in Customer Center for browsing the graphical product structure through parts drawings/prints.
Pickup Enables the user to select a warehouse from which he/she wants to pickup goods. This feature element works in combination with the Warehouse feature element.
Previous Orders Gives access to the user's order history.
Previous Orders Admin Gives access to the company's order history. This feature element works in combination with the Previous Orders feature element.
Product List Gives access to the product list.
Promotions Gives access to promotions.
Quick Order Entry Enables the user to use the quick-order entry form.
Net Prices Enables the user to view net prices in the Customer Center.
RFQ Enables the user to submit orders as RFQs to the merchant.
Registered Equipment Gives access to the Equipment Registration Page in Customer Center where the user can create registration records of equipments that were procured from other manufacturers or sources.
Resell Prices Enables the user to view resell prices. This feature element is used in the Customer Center.
Sales Tool Interests Gives access to a new page showing interest groups replicated from the sales tool.
Send Mail On Order

This element triggers e-mail messages whenever the user does one of the following:

  • Submits an order to the merchant

  • Sends an order for approval

  • Rejects an order submitted for approval

Note: If you are using approval, both the buyer and the approver must have this feature element in order for the system to work consistently.
Share Orders Enables the user to both send and receive collaborated orders.
Shipping Addresses Admin Gives access to the company's shipping addresses. It enables the user to create and edit the shipping addresses and select a default shipping address for the company.
Show Category Tree Category tree.
Show Category Tree Enables the user to view the category tree/assortment in the Customer Center.
Showroom Enables the user to create the showroom presentations in the Business Center.
Spare Parts List Gives access to the parts list. Only enable this feature if Item List feature is enabled first. Otherwise, you may experience a configuration error.
Standard Orders Gives access to the user's standard orders, and to standard orders that are marked as company available.
Standard Orders Admin Gives access to the company's standard orders. This feature element works in combination with the Standard Orders feature element.
Submit Order Enables the user to submit an order.
Tax Handling

Includes VAT on all prices shown to the user.

  • Line tax is added to the line price and the total is shown as Order Total

  • Delivery Tax is added to the Delivery Fee and total shown as Delivery Fee.

  • Shipping Tax is added to the Shipping Fee and shown as Shipping Total.

Top Selling Statistics Enables the user to view the top three selling items in a category.
Upload User When the database was first created, a user with this element was set up in order to "bootstrap" the authentication mechanism, thereby allowing the database-creation system to access the database and add sample data. This element is never used once the database is established.
User Profile Enables the user to edit the user profile.
View Store Finder Enables the user to view the Store Finder feature.
Warehouses Gives access to the warehouse list.
Wish List Enables the user to create a wishlist.
