Administering text for internal content management pages

The Customer Center contains pages that provide users with information about how to use the Infor e-Commerce Customer Site and what the terms are for doing business on the site. These pages are called the content management pages and they are all grouped under the Info menu.

The Info menu constitutes the following content pages:

Privacy Policy – Provides information about the privacy practices followed by Infor to protect customers and users using Infor e-Commerce.

Terms Of Use – Lists the terms and conditions for using Infor e-Commerce.

Purchase Terms And Conditions – Lists the terms and conditions for making online purchases using Infor e-Commerce.

Buyer's Guide – Provides information that assist customers and users in finding products that suits their needs.

Help – Provides answers to some frequently asked questions.

About Us – Provides information about the company.

The text for the content management pages is setup in the Application Setup > Texts area of the Business Center.

Note that the Customer Center displays the Info menu for roles having the "Information Management" feature element.

Although Infor e-Commerce provides a few simple internal content management pages, the administrator can change the reference for these pages to point to external content management system.

To modify the text for the content management pages:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.
  2. Click the Application Setup > Texts link in the navigator.
  3. In the Filter area, do any of the following:
    • To modify the text on privacy policy, enter "privacypolicy" in the Page Name field.

    • To modify the text on terms of use, enter "termsofuse" in the Page Name field.

    • To modify the text on purchase terms, enter "purchaseterms" in the Page Name field.

    • To modify the text on buyers guide, enter "buyersguide" in the Page Name field.

    • To modify the text on help, enter "help" in the Page Name field.

    • To modify the text about the application, enter "/cc/About.jsp" in the Page Name field.

  4. Click Search.

    A list of all page texts defined for that particular page is displayed.

  5. Click the name in the Text Name column to modify the text for that item.
  6. Save your changes when you are done.
  7. Continue working with these text items until you have finished configuring and/or translating each of them.
