Infor e-Commerce provides very basic stock-management features. It enables you to store your current stock of each item and to set minimum and maximum stock amounts. However, because orders probably be arriving both through Infor e-Commerce and through traditional channels, stock levels are not updated automatically with each order submitted to Infor e-Commerce. Merchants who wish to automate the stock-levels stored in Infor e-Commerce must interface these fields with their own back-end business systems.
In the Customer Center, the customer is warned when trying to order an out-of-stock item and alternative items may be presented (see Item relations for details). Some customers might elect to disallow orders that include out-of-stock items, while others might choose to submit such orders and wait until items are re-stocked (each user’s Partial Orders settings controls which options can be used, see Customer users for details).
The Items:Logistics area of the Business Center provides a quick list of all items whose current stock values are recorded as being below the minimum stock value for that item. To view details and/or edit stock levels of any item listed here, click its ID in the Item Number column.
