Adding a language

The first step in adding a new language to the application is to establish a basic name for the language. Thereafter, input fields for entering text in that language appear on the relevant forms throughout the Business Center.

To establish a language:

  1. Log on to the Business Center as a merchant administrator.
  2. Click the Application Setup > Languages link in the navigator.

    The Languages page appears, showing links to the setup for each of the languages currently available in the application.

  3. Click Create New.
  4. On the Language Details page, make the following settings:
    Field Settings
    Language Code Enter a short two-letter code for the language. This code is the key value for the language; no two languages may use the same code. This is not shown in the customer presentation; it is only for reference within the Business Center.
    Visible This option controls whether or not customers will be able to select the language. Set this to No for languages that you wish to temporarily disable (for example, while you enter all of the required translations); set this to Yes when you wish to allow users to select the language.
    Texts Enter the name of the new language in each of the other current languages.
  5. Click Create.
