Relating quotations

Using the Related feature, you can relate quotations to others. You can use this feature when, for example, a customer asked for two quotations with different equipment configurations, but eventually chooses only one. When one of the quotations in the relationship is accepted, then the status of all other quotations in that relationship is automatically set to Inactive (99).

This diagram shows an example of related quotations in M3 Equipment Quotation Management:

From 'Related Quotation. Open' (QUS120), you can create quotation relationships. Alternatively, in the EQM mashup, select All Quotations, then, on the Related tab, click the New relation button in the Relations view.

To create the connection to the related code, in the EQM mashup, select All Quotations, then, on the Related tab, click the Add button in the Quotations view.

To view related quotations, in the EQM mashup, select All Quotations, then the Related tab. The Related quotations view shows related quotations.
