Rental workflow

To use Rental Agreement in M3 Equipment Quotation Management, you must complete the standard setup for rental in Infor M3 Business Engine.

This workflow describes how you can use EQM Rental when accessing it from M3 Customer LifeCycle Management:

  1. To create a rental quotation, in M3 Customer LifeCycle Management, select Quotation > Create Rental Quote.

    You can create a rental quotation on any opportunity or activity in M3 Customer LifeCycle Management.

  2. After the rental quote has been created in M3 Customer LifeCycle Management, the Rental Agreement panel in M3 Equipment Quotation Management opens with an automatically created and temporary rental agreement header for the customer.
  3. To add rental lines to the temporary rental quotation, select the Lines tab and click Create.
    'Rental Agreement. Create' (STS085) opens.
    Note: On the Equipment search tab, you can also use the Create button. In this case, in (STS085), the selected equipment is used by default.
  4. To create a rental line for the temporary rental agreement, specify the required fields in (STS085).
  5. To add line charges, select the rental line and click Create on the Line Charges subtab.

    To add additional charges, select the rental line and click Create on the Additional Charges subtab.

    To have an overview of the simulated revenue, cost, and tax for the temporary rental agreement, select the Totals tab.

  6. Optionally, to convert the temporary rental agreement to a quotation or an active rental agreement after having added all rental lines and charges to it, click the Quotation or Contract button on the Lines tab.
