Forecast Method Properties

You can configure a new forecast method or change an existing forecast method using the Forecast Method Properties.

To access this feature, select Menu > Data > Statistical Forecast Methods, and then click New or Edit.

This table shows the property settings you can use:


Property	Description
General	General include properties such as Name, Category filter, Description, and Scope availability information. The Category field serves as a filter option in the Forecast Methods list. You can select an existing category or specify a new category. Scope availability information is available only for administrators.
Calculation Setup	See Calculation Setup for Forecast Methods.
Demand	You can select a demand measure for a forecast method. You can use measure as demand to create the Demand Base Line for forecast method. The demands are taken from one column and used in one or more methods.
Trend	See Trend in Forecast Methods.
Seasonality	See Seasonality in Forecast Methods.
Distribution	Use the Distribution Method when the system calculates the forecast and Favorite View aggregation is enabled. The system distributes the forecast value for aggregated records based on the selected distribution method.
Calculation Execution	See Calculation Execution Options for Forecast Methods.

Note: This functionality is only enabled for administrators.
