Importing file by Time Mark

Before importing, verify that these conditions are met:

  • The file must not contain year and period columns.
  • The Time Mark must be defined. A Time Mark is a named, pre-defined date range configured in DMP. Use a Time Mark when the import file does not include year or period columns and all rows must be mapped to a specific time range. To create a Time mark, go to Menu > List > Time Marks.

  • The defined Time Mark must be Public to appear as an option in the Time Mark field.

Here’s a sample CSV file for Time Mark:

Note: A Time Mark points to a single period. All rows in the file are mapped to that period. Ensure that each key combination appears only once in the file. Otherwise, you might encounter this warning: "The M3 BE dataset contains multiple Acc values on certain periods/key combinations."
  1. From the menu, select Action > Import File.
  2. In Configuration, specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the configuration name.
  3. In Options, specify the character separator.
  4. In Import Parameters, specify this information:
    Dataset
    Select a dataset from the list.
    Transaction Type
    Specify the transaction type.
    Period Mapping
    Select Time Mark.
    Time Mark
    Select a Time Mark from the list.
  5. In Folder/File Name, specify the folder path for the file to import into DMP.
  6. Click Import.
    When the progress bar reaches 100%, the import is complete and the system updates the data in the dataset. In the Favorite View, the grid displays details from the imported file based on its content.

    To review the log, click View log file.
