Seasonality

From the menu, select Data > Statistical Forecast Methods > Forecast Methods.

Select a parameter and then click New or Edit.

In , select and then select from these seasonality options:

Note: You can use measure for season index to create the season index for calculation.


Option	Description
None	No seasonal index is used
Standard	Seasonal index is based on the selected dataset.
Automatic Index Calculation	Seasonal index is based on the specified start point and calculation method.
Measure by Column name	Seasonal index is based on specified a column measure. For example, on a calculated measure.

Select Use Indexes From Last Year (M3) to use the seasonal index from previous year. This is useful when the seasonal index is calculated externally or by M3. If the seasonal index is created in M3 DMP, it is created in the year in the current year, that is, when it is applied.

Note: If the seasonal index is not included in the favorite view or in the pivot sheet, it is not used in the forecast.

Click OK.
