Exporting Files

  1. From the menu, select Version > Export > Export File.
  2. In Configuration, select a configuration from the list.
  3. In Export Data, select a file interface option:
    • Dataset: Select a dataset value.
    • Favorite View: Select a favorite view value.
    • Scoreboard: Select a scoreboard value.
    Keys
    Select a key option from the list.
  4. In Options, specify this information:
    List Separator
    Select a separator character from the list.
    Missing value
    Select an option to define how missing values are processed when the data is exported.
    Date Mapping
    Select an option to define how date values are converted and written to the exported file.
    Time Mark
    Select a time mark from the list. The available options include all public time marks defined for the dataset period type. If you select a value other than [None], the selected time mark is used as the starting period for the export.
    No. of Periods
    Specify the number of periods to include in the export, starting from the selected Time Mark.
    Note: The labels beside Time Mark and No. of Periods show the calculated start and end of the export range, providing a preview of the periods to be exported.
  5. In Export Mode, select an available template from the list. Specify this information:
    One-line header
    Select the check box to put the header in a single row.
    Exclude FRF
    Select the check box to remove the FRF column and the two-leading character from OSKEY and OSLEC when you save the CSV file.
    Note: You can select this option if the export parameter is set to CSV format.
    Confirmed measures
    Select the check box to allow Export File to generate a CSV file that includes key records with confirmed measure values.
    Note: If Confirmed measures is enabled in favorite view, then the setting in the Export File is not applied. The generated output is for the confirmed and committed values.
    Use View Column Name
    Select this option to allow the exported files to use the key column names defined for favorite views. This option is available if Export Data is set to Favorite View or Scoreboard.
    Note: This option also affects Extra Keys, Numeric/Text for Keys, and Key State.
  6. In Export parameters, specify this information:
    Format
    Select the format to use when exporting the file.
    Files
    Select the file to export. The available options depend on the configured DMP export file definitions.
    Periods
    Select a period option to define the time range of data to include in the export.
    Measure
    Select the measure to export. The selected measure determines the values included in the output file.
    Year
    Select the year to include in the export. The available years depend on the selected export configuration and period range.
  7. In Folder/File Name, specify a folder location. Once the export is complete, the file is generated in the folder you specified.
  8. Click Export.
    The progress bar shows the status of the export process.
  9. Optionally, click View log file to view the event log file.
