Favorite View Data Update

  1. From the menu, select Data Administration > Server Workflows.
    The Server Workflows dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the Action list, select Favorite View Data Update.
  3. Click the ellipsis button in the same row as the action to open the Favorite View Data Update dialog box.
  4. In Configuration, specify this information:
    Name
    Save and load reusable configurations for repeated tasks.
  5. In From, specify this information:
    Favorite View
    Select the target view that contains the measure.
    Set Function
    Select the operation to perform.
    This table shows the available set functions:
    Function Action
    Copy Measure Copy the values from one measure to another in the same dataset or favorite view
    Note: When you select Copy Measure, the Source Measure and Target Measure fields are available.
    Update Numeric Key Specify a measure value in a key column, such as KClass1 or KeyDValue2, to use in filtering or reporting.
    Note: When you select Update Numeric Key, the Target Numeric Key and Offset fields are available.
    Value Set all cells to a fixed number, or set them to blank for null
    Round Round values to N decimal places
    Truncate Truncate values to N decimal places
    Remove Negative Set negative values to zero
    Remove Negative + Round Set negative values to zero, and then round the remaining values
    Remove Negative + Truncate Set negative values to zero, and then truncate the remaining values
    Key Copy the measure value to a key column by using a period offset
    Source Measure
    Specify the measure that contains the values to copy. When you select Copy Measure, the Source Measure list shows all measures in the favorite view and Editable Calculated Measures. Calculated Measures are not included.
    Target Measure
    Specify the measure to which values are copied if Copy Measure function is selected. This field shows only the measures that are included in the favorite view. Calculated Measures and Editable Calculated Measures are not included.
    Target Numeric Key
    Specify the key column if Update Numeric Key function is selected.
    Offset
    Set the period offset if Update Numeric Key function is selected. Specify 0 for the first period or 1 for the next period.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Use the server workflow schedule to run workflows automatically. You can reuse and share saved configurations or templates and run processing on the server without an active client session. See Scheduled Server Tasks.
