Creating Dataset from M3
Follow these steps to create a dataset from M3 by using the REST API:
Note: You must set the REST API integration method in Settings > Data to enable this feature.

Select Datasets > Create > M3 Dataset.
The Create Dataset dialog box is displayed.

In Datasets, specify this
information:
- Company
- Specify the company code that identifies the M3 company for the dataset.
- Integration
- Select the integration type used to retrieve data for the dataset.

In Budgets, specify this information:
- Include Budgets
- Select to include budget data in the dataset. When enabled, specify the budget range to use for the budget data.
- From Budget
- Specify the starting budget ID or version.
- To Budget
- Specify the ending budget ID or version.

In Dataset properties, view the key
columns associated with the selected dataset. Use this information to review the
dataset key structure without opening M3 OSS401.
- Accumulator
- This tab shows the available selectors, their short names, and an Include check box. In the Include column, select or clear the check box for each accumulator to import.
- Basic Keys
- This tab shows the key columns that are defined for the selected dataset. This read-only tab shows the key structure that is used when the dataset is created in DMP. Examples include Item Number, Warehouse, and Customer.

In Transactions, specify this information:
- From Transaction Type
- Select the first transaction type to include in the dataset.
- To Transaction Type
- Select the last transaction type to include in the dataset.
- Click Create.
